Dear Jesus, Thank you for allowing me to attend the funeral of a man who fought for our country in Vietnam. His health was ruined by his coming in contact with agent orange. He lived through cancer of the blood and died of lung disease. At his funeral, people of all ages wept and everything that was said about him was positive. One of his friends who had known him for many years said, “You never heard him say a bad thing about anyone.” What a witness of the power of your presence in his life. I pray for that kind of power in my life and in the lives of my family, friends and all of us who call ourselves Christians – the word that means that You live in us. Thank you for coming to Earth as a baby and for giving up your life to save me and all Christians around the world. In your name I pray, Amen.
